Nintendo shows new Ganon's Castle image for Ocarina of Time remake

The new image swaps the original dungeon's spiked walls for ornate fences, and the remake launches on November 5.

Nintendo has released a new official image of Ganon's Castle from its remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, according to gamerant.com. The remake is scheduled to launch on November 5.

The image shows the final dungeon's exterior redesigned: the spiked walls of the original version are replaced by ornate fences surrounding the castle. The shot does not reveal how the interior of the dungeon has been reworked.

The castle is the lair of Ganondorf, the game's antagonist and final boss, and serves as the last dungeon players enter before the closing confrontation.

Earlier looks at the remake

Nintendo has previously shown revamped versions of locations including Zora's Domain and Hyrule Castle Town, as well as bosses such as Dark Link. The remake also adds features such as the Threads of Time synopsis, voice controls for the Ocarina and a dedicated Jump button.

Alongside the game, Nintendo is releasing a special Switch 2 console with a Triforce dock design and green Joy-Cons for Zelda's 40th anniversary, an Ocarina controller on the same day as the remake, and Ocarina of Time-themed Amiibo figures of Young Link and Princess Zelda in 2027.
