Ocarina of Time Remake Screenshots Show Ganondorf and Sheik
Vice shared 11 screenshots from Japanese marketing for the Switch 2 remake, including close-ups of Link with the ocarina and Malon's new dress.
Vice has shared a batch of 11 screenshots from Japanese marketing for the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, giving a look at several redesigned characters ahead of its release on the Nintendo Switch 2.
The gallery includes close-ups of Link holding the ocarina and of Ganondorf with the glowing Triforce of Power on his gauntlet, smirking. Sheik also appears in the shots, shown with rain effects, and the owl Kaepora Gaebora is included in the gallery.
One detail drawing attention is child Malon's dress, which in the remake depicts horses instead of the abstract texture used in the original. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was first released on the Nintendo 64, which had a sparser art style.
The remake's character redesigns have proved divisive: supporters have compared them to puppet theatre, while critics have likened them to Marvel movies and Unreal Engine 5 demos.
The Ocarina of Time remake is set to launch on November 5, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2.
