Code Wizards, CD Projekt Red Lead October Games Hiring Roundup

Seven games companies announced new hires or promotions in October, spanning commercial, communications, production and design roles. Code Wizards Group appointed Catherine Bygrave as head of commercial, while CD Projekt Red promoted Michał Platkow-Gilewski to VP of global communications and marketing.

Playground Games named Daniel Smith as executive producer, and 2K and Hangar 13 Games appointed Gero Micciché as lead producer. Bloober Team brought in Tymon Smektala as executive producer of Broken Mirror Games.

On the product and design side, Vik Agarwal joined Roblox's product team and Daniel Loane was appointed principal game designer at Zynga.

Background

Bygrave previously served as business development director at Sumo Games and spent a decade at Activision working across Call of Duty and Destiny. Platkow-Gilewski joined CD Projekt Red as head of marketing in 2011.

Smith previously served as executive producer at Turn 10 Studios and worked at Xbox Game Studios Publishing for nine years. Micciché previously worked as development director on Battlefield at Criterion Games and held roles at Electronic Arts, Codemasters and Gameloft.

Smektala previously worked at Techland for 13 years, joining in 2013 as a game designer and most recently serving as franchise director. Agarwal was previously product leader at Meta and lead product manager at Zynga, and held product manager roles at Electronic Arts and Amazon Game Studios. Loane previously served as senior game designer at Fortis Games and held senior roles at ZeniMax Online Studios, NetherRealm Studios and King. GamesIndustry.biz reported the moves.
