Paralives delays first major update past end of 2026

Paralives Studio has detailed the contents of Paralives' first major update and confirmed that it is being pushed back from its originally announced release at the end of 2026. The studio said the delay is intended to allow more time for the update, according to PCGamesN.

The update will add two new skills with related interactions and several new jobs in a field the studio has not yet revealed. Conversation options are being expanded with more ways to flirt, be mean, joke and get to know Parafolks, and Townies will be able to use Together Cards to prompt reactions from The Player.

Relationships, emotions and Story Cards

Higher relationship tag levels such as friend, lover or enemy will bring new unlocks. The update also adds emotion-changing interactions, emotion-triggered interactions and autonomous interactions based on personality, plus talking animations for group activities such as eating, watching TV or sitting together.

Starting balances, lots, salary progression and item prices are being rebalanced so that money is harder and more rewarding to earn, with higher-priced furniture and utility objects set to be more efficient and less likely to break than cheap ones. The Jester vibe trait is being tweaked to make its effects more obvious and more comedic, while Community Center bundles, life goals, their rewards and Townie request payouts are being improved. New Story Cards will give more options each night to shape how a household evolves.

Build Mode and Paramaker will receive new furniture and items, more hairstyles, more clothing including baggy clothes, and expanded fat and muscle slider ranges. The update will also fix build-breaking bugs such as disappearing floors and objects and corrupted lots that won't load. Paralives Studio said the feature list is not final: some items may be pushed back and others may be added.
