Peak Launches on PlayStation 5 on October 22
Aggro Crab and Landfall's co-op climbing game arrives on PS5 with crossplay and all post-launch content included.
Aggro Crab and Landfall announced that their co-op climbing game Peak launches on PlayStation 5 on October 22, 2026, according to the PlayStation Blog. The two studios, working together as Team Peak, confirmed the PS5 version will support crossplay.
Crossplay means players can climb with up to three friends across platforms. The PlayStation 5 release also includes all content updates, biomes and new items added since the game's initial launch.
Peak is a co-op climbing game developed by Aggro Crab, an American studio based in Seattle, and Landfall, a Swedish studio based in Stockholm.
From game jam to full release
The project began as a one-month game jam in Seoul, South Korea, in February 2025, with three Aggro Crab developers and four Landfall developers taking part. The jam theme was discussed while sitting in a hot tub in Sweden a couple of months before the South Korea trip, and the two studios had become friends after meeting at a game developer conference in 2022.
After the jam, Landfall finished Haste while Aggro Crab worked on Peak and other projects, and the teams reunited in Sweden in June to finish the game.
