S-Game has ideas for Phantom Blade Zero sequels, director says
Soulframe says S-Game will decide which sequel and expansion ideas to pursue based on Phantom Blade Zero's commercial results.
S-Game already has ideas for sequels and expansions to Phantom Blade Zero, the studio's director Soulframe told PCGamesN. Which of those ideas move forward will depend on how the game performs at release, he said.
Soulframe also said the team is currently working on merchandise for Phantom Blade Zero. Beyond games, he raised the possibility of animations and even movies around the title in the future, saying the studio would like to develop the Phantom Blade Zero universe into an original IP.
He pointed to S-Game's earlier animation work as a foundation for that ambition. Two years before the interview, the Beijing-based studio released a Year of Dragon celebration trailer that included high-quality 2D animation, he said.
No release window, platforms or commercial targets for Phantom Blade Zero were given in the interview.
