Phantom Blade Zero tops 500,000 Steam pre-orders, estimated at $24m

Alinea Analytics estimates the action game has passed half a million Steam pre-orders ahead of its October 28 launch, with China its biggest market.

Phantom Blade Zero has drawn an estimated 500,000 pre-orders on Steam, worth roughly $24 million in revenue, according to estimates from Alinea Analytics. The figures were reported by Eurogamer.

Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, said the action game is outperforming Gears of War: E-Day and Control Resonant on Steam at the time of writing. China is currently its top market.

In October 2026, Elliott posted estimates that Phantom Blade Zero had 2.5 million Steam wishlists and was already outperforming Gears of War: E-Day and Control Resonant on Steam. Of those wishlisting the game, 41 percent had played Black Myth Wukong, 38 percent had played Elden Ring and 28 percent had played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Elliott said pre-launch signals suggest the game will also be popular on PS5, describing it as potentially one of the year's breakout single-player hits. Phantom Blade Zero launches on October 28.
