Playground Games Responds to Forza Horizon 6 Community Complaints
Playground Games says it has not communicated with players as much as it could, as the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 remains without a release date.
Playground Games published a message on its social channels stating that it is reading community comments about Forza Horizon 6, and acknowledging that it has not communicated with players as much as it could. The studio said it is looking into future changes to in-game content and its communication methods, while continuing to deliver regular content and fixes.
The message follows sustained criticism from parts of the Forza Horizon 6 community over the level of developer communication. In late August, content creator STEVIO2175 posted a 19-minute video criticizing the lack of communication between the studio and players.
Microsoft and Playground Games have still not announced a release date for the PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6, despite previously saying it would ship on PS5 this year. No new timing has been given.
Other projects at the studio
A second Playground team is in the stretch run of development on the Fable reboot, which is due on February 23, 2027 for Xbox, PC, and PS5. Fable was playable at Gamescom in August.
