Pocosoft released its mahjong-solitaire dungeon RPG Mahjong Monsters on the App Store on October 8, 2026, according to gamebiz.jp. The game is also available on Google Play.
It is free to play, supported by in-app purchases and ads, and offers Japanese and English language options. Players attack monsters by matching two mahjong tiles, then recruit and raise monsters taken from defeated enemies.
Tiles can be cleared when nothing sits on top of them and either the left or right side is open. Each tile suit maps to an attack attribute: the character tiles suit to fire, the circle tiles suit to water, the bamboo tiles suit to wood, and honour tiles to the game's Hum attribute. Clearing every tile on the board triggers the leader's special move, named after a mahjong yaku.
Monsters include slime, dragon, golem and mermaid, and can be leveled through synthesis or evolved with evolution items. The adventure runs through hills, forests, caves, volcanoes, snowfields and the sea floor, with larger boards and bosses deeper in, and event dungeons open by day of the week.
A free-play mode offers the puzzle alone without battles, and both normal dungeons and free play can be played offline. In-app purchases cover one-time items such as hiding ads, expanding slots and increasing deck count, plus consumables including forced evolution and full stamina recovery; in-game currency and monsters are not sold directly.
