Pokémon Card Listings Restricted on Yahoo! Flea Market and Yahoo! Auctions
LY Corporation and The Pokémon Company ban carton sales, empty boxes and packs, and bulk listings of the same product shortly after release, starting October 13, 2026, according to gamebusiness.jp.
LY Corporation announced, in cooperation with The Pokémon Company, that listings of three categories of Pokémon Trading Card Game items are banned on Yahoo! Flea Market and Yahoo! Auctions from October 13, 2026, according to gamebusiness.jp.
The banned listings are Pokémon cards sold by the carton, empty boxes and empty packs of Pokémon cards, and bulk listings of the same product for a certain period after release. The restriction on empty boxes and empty packs applies from the same day not only to the Pokémon Trading Card Game but to trading cards in general.
The Pokémon Company will share with LY Corporation information on products and distribution that could lead to trouble or inappropriate transactions in the secondary market, in addition to the new-product release information, product information and information on rights-infringing listings it has shared so far.
The two companies said the measures aim to prevent issues in the secondary market.
