Pokemon Company leaks 2027 McDonald's promo card lineup early
A promotional post for the 2026 McDonald's Pokemon event mistakenly listed cards from the 2027 promo set, including an unreleased Squirtle.
The Pokemon Company has revealed the full card lineup for its 2027 McDonald's Pokemon TCG promo packs a year ahead of release, after a promotional post for the 2026 event mistakenly included cards from the 2027 set. The site PokeBeach spotted the reveal.
The 2027 lineup lists Bulbasaur, Rowlet, Sprigatito, Charmander, Torchic, Squirtle, Piplup, Pikachu, Raichu, Clefairy, Slowpoke, Marill, Gengar, Eevee and Snorlax. The 2027 promos are expected to release sometime in 2027.
The batch includes an unreleased Squirtle card, which has led to speculation that a 2027 expansion will feature Mega Blastoise. The Pokemon Company has not confirmed any such expansion.
The 2026 McDonald's Pokemon event is set to launch in the United States on November 10.
Other TCG releases on the schedule
In October 2025, The Pokemon TCG confirmed the Flowing Fists expansion for February 5, featuring Mega Lucario Z as cover Pokemon. The Delta Reign expansion releases on November 6, 2026, bringing back Mega Rayquaza ex for the first time since Ancient Origins and adding Mega Golisopod and Mega Golurk, first seen in the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
The TCG is also holding 30th anniversary celebrations with special promo cards, including a Futuristic Rare Espeon, Umbreon and Pikachu in the 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection.
