Pokemon Monomyth Fan Game Is Complete, Final Testing Underway

A lead developer says the fan-made Pokemon Monomyth is finished and in its last round of tester playthroughs, with a release hoped for by the end of fall.

A lead developer of Pokemon Monomyth says the fan-made Pokemon game is complete and has been for several months, and that it is now in its final round of tester playthroughs, according to gamerant.com. The developers hope to release the game by the end of fall.

Pokemon Monomyth is set in the new Athanto region and features over 360 Pokemon, mixing classics with brand-new creatures. The developers say it offers more than 75 hours of gameplay, with 100% playthroughs taking over 100 hours on average.

The project also includes new moves and abilities, a soundtrack with over 200 tracks, thousands of Pokemon coat variations, and the return of the Battle Frontier. Anime-style cutscenes are part of the package as well.

What else is lined up for Pokemon

The first Pokemon Monomyth trailer was released back in May. Separately, Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald are rumored to be coming to Nintendo Switch following FireRed and LeafGreen, after a recent Pokemon Home update added compatibility with the games.

Pokemon Winds and Waves are slated for release on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, while the second Pokemon Pokopia DLC pack is set to drop later this year and the third in 2027.
