Pokémon Night Out EDM Concert Draws Fan Complaints Over Lack of Pokémon Music
Attendees at the Intuit Dome show said Marshmello's set included no Pokémon music, while Alison Wonderland's set fit the theme better.
Pokémon Night Out, an official Pokémon-themed EDM concert, took place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles over the past weekend, and fans have complained that the event featured almost no Pokémon music, according to Kotaku.
The show was promoted with EDM sets by Marshmello and Alison Wonderland themed around the Pokémon world. General admission tickets reportedly cost attendees around $300.
On social media and Reddit, attendees said Marshmello's set did not include any Pokémon music and resembled a regular set with Pokémon visuals on screens. One attendee said only two Pokémon songs were played during the event.
Several commenters said Alison Wonderland's set fit the theme better, including the anime theme song and a remix of the Lavender Town theme.
