ProjectAlive opens Steam page for zombie RTS Ebbtide
Ebbtide casts players as commanders of humanity's last carrier strike group, starting with a survivor rescue operation in Los Angeles.
ProjectAlive has opened the Steam store page for Ebbtide, a real-time strategy game in which the player commands humanity's last carrier strike group, according to gamespark.jp. The game is currently in development for PC via Steam.
Ebbtide begins in a Los Angeles overrun by zombies, where the objective is to rescue survivors. Players can order National Guard and LAPD units to hold defensive positions and send Marines into assault roles, while truck and helicopter transport units carry survivors out of the city.
The human arsenal includes tanks, attack helicopters, fighter jet bombing runs, destroyer naval gunfire and Tomahawk cruise missiles. Players can switch between the operation map and the combat view without loading, and combat continues while they are on the operation map.
Defence extends to construction: players build high walls and frontline bases, and deploy CIWS against zombies that scale walls by climbing on each other's bodies. Helicopter and truck supply runs must also be protected by defending the supply routes.
Survivors rescued in Los Angeles become the initial force for a world campaign, in which the carrier is sent to defend new regions.
