Krafton reveals PUBG: Ded.Net, a battle royale with roguelite twists
PUBG: Ded.Net is in development at Krafton's PUBG Madison studio, with roguelite upgrades carrying between matches, creative director Dave Curd said at Gamescom.
Krafton and its Wisconsin-based studio PUBG Madison have shared new details about PUBG: Ded.Net, a third-person battle royale shooter in which players compete as contestants in a violent gameshow. Creative director Dave Curd discussed the project at Gamescom, according to Eurogamer.
The game adds a roguelite layer to the battle royale format: upgrades and abilities chosen during one match carry over and affect later matches.
Krafton confirmed last month that a new PUBG game was in the works. The publisher had not previously attached a name or a studio to that project.
No release date or target platforms have been announced. Krafton has so far described the game only in broad terms, without detailing a launch window.
