Quake Fans Release Free Rooftops Jam Map Pack With 19 Maps
Quake Rooftops Jam, a free community-made pack of 19 rooftop-themed maps, is available now for sourceports like Ironwail and vkQuake via Slipseer.
The Quake community released Quake Rooftops Jam on Friday, a free fan-made map pack that adds 19 custom maps to the 1996 id Software shooter, all themed around rooftops.
The pack is available for download from Slipseer and is designed to run on Quake sourceports such as Ironwail or vkQuake. Players install it into a folder named "qrtjam" and launch their sourceport with the command line "-game qrtjam".
Among the included maps is Robert Yang's Mermaids in the Basement, set in a Mediterranean coastal village semi-submerged in water. Other maps in the pack are Once, But No More, a sprawling cityscape, and City of Traitors, a maze of gothic spires.
The release was reported by pcgamer.com.
