Switch Quiz Game Quiz☆Seikai wa Ichinen Go presents Atsushi no Meitantei Ends Sales December 30

Phoenixx announced on October 14 that the Nintendo Switch download version of Quiz☆Seikai wa Ichinen Go presents Atsushi no Meitantei will end sales on December 30, according to automaton-media.com. The game is priced at 1000 yen including tax.

A 50% off sale is running until October 31 at 23:59, bringing the price to 500 yen including tax. Copies already purchased can still be re-downloaded and played after sales end, the publisher said.

The title is tied to Quiz☆Seikai wa Ichinen Go, a TBS year-end quiz variety special that first aired in 2013, in which quizzes predicting the coming year are posed in January and answers are checked on a year-end live broadcast.

The game was created for a 2023 episode quiz asking how many people could clear a Famicom-compatible ROM cartridge title made in 10 copies and sold at game and recycle shops. Happy Meal, known for the Mystery Guide series, developed it, and Phoenixx began selling the Switch download version at the time of the 2023 episode. In 2024, a package version and a limited Collector's Edition for Happinet Online were also released.

As of December 30, 2023, all 10 ROM cartridges had sold but no clear reports had been made. As of the article's writing, the 2024 package version is out of stock at all retailers listed on the official site, and the Happinet Online Collector's Edition is also out of stock.
