Rockstar Brings Dead of Night Back to Red Dead Redemption 2

The Dead of Night mode returns as the Featured Series in Red Dead Redemption 2's Halloween event, running through October into early November.

Rockstar Games has announced that the Dead of Night mode is returning to Red Dead Redemption 2 as the Featured Series. The mode is part of a Halloween event that runs throughout October into early November.

The event carries bonuses across several activities: 3X RDO$, Role XP and XP on Naturalist Sample Sales; 3X RDO$, Gold and XP on All Hallows' Call to Arms; 3X RDO$ and XP on the Featured Series; and 4X RDO$, Gold and XP on Strange Tales of the West Telegram Missions.

Players can also earn rewards during the event. The Red Fernwater Coat is available for playing this month, the Irontooth Mask is a login reward for Naturalists, and the Best Shot Emote is earned by hunting or sampling a Legendary Animal. Reaching wave five in All Hallows' Call to Arms grants the Rowberrow Outfit and the Air Banjo Emote.

Red Dead Redemption 2 originally launched on October 26, 2018. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, the first game in the series, received one major DLC, and former studio head Dan Houser previously said he would like the franchise to remain as just two games.
