Red Rising board game gets digital adaptation, due in 2027
Emerald City Games is building a one-to-six-player digital version with all 112 cards, and a playable demo is already on Steam.
Emerald City Games is developing a digital adaptation of the Red Rising board game, the Canadian studio announced. The game is scheduled for release in 2027, with no specific date given. A playable demo is available on Steam now.
The digital version supports one to six players and includes an AI mode for solo play. It recreates the tabletop rules and carries all 112 unique cards from the physical game.
The board game itself was created and published by Jamey Stegmaier at Stonemaier Games in 2021, adapting the first three books of Pierce Brown's Red Rising series. Polygon reported on the announcement.
The books follow Darrow, a lowborn Red miner, across a society divided into colour-coded classes.
