Resident Evil Requiem DLC Will Expand Oswell E. Spencer's Arc

Writer Haris Orkin said on the Distance NERDing Podcast that the expansion will further develop Oswell E. Spencer's story.

Haris Orkin, writer on Resident Evil Requiem, said in an interview on the Distance NERDing Podcast that the game's DLC will explain the arc of Oswell E. Spencer further, according to wccftech.com.

Orkin's comments have prompted speculation that the expansion could bring players back to the Spencer Mansion, a location tied to the series' early history.

The Resident Evil Requiem expansion is reportedly launching after Resident Evil Veronica and will have a bigger scope than previous entries' expansions. Capcom has not announced a release date for the DLC.

Series connections

Resident Evil Requiem is widely regarded as one of the best entries in the series, with its story connecting new character Grace Ashcroft to the rest of the franchise.

The base game brought players back to the now destroyed Raccoon City, where Leon S. Kennedy confronted the events of Resident Evil 2. In October 2025, a full remake of the original Resident Evil was said to be in the works, while Resident Evil Veronica features a replica of the Spencer Mansion inside an Antarctic Facility.
