rokaplay says Drawquarium demo copied into Google Play app

Google Play's business Community replied on November 5 that it is investigating the unauthorized Android release, rokaplay said.

rokaplay announced on its official X account on November 4 that a demo of Drawquarium was used without permission and published as an Android app on Google Play. According to gamebusiness.jp, the unauthorized app reportedly copied the work's name and screenshots, with a mouse cursor visible in the images.

In the post, rokaplay questioned Google Play and Google accounts whether apps are actually reviewed. The Google Play business Community replied on November 5 that it is currently investigating the matter. The relevant Google Play page could not be viewed at the time of writing.

The official X account said the people who published the app appear to be based in Pakistan. Drawquarium is a title from developer Kaleb, who is based in Berlin, Germany.
