Jagex sets Song of Rebellion for early 2027 in Dragonwilds
Song of Rebellion opens the Blood Crystal Saga in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, with Hunter, Slayer and CurseForge modding also due in 2027.
Jagex confirmed that Song of Rebellion will launch in early 2027 as the opening update of the Blood Crystal Saga in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, according to gamerant.com. The announcement came as part of a 2027 content roadmap for the game.
Song of Rebellion will bring iconic RuneScape enemies such as Moss Giants and Implings to Dragonwilds, alongside new areas, quests, gear and decorations inspired by the elven city of Prifddinas.
The roadmap also covers the game's skill lineup. Jagex said the Hunter and Slayer skills will arrive in RuneScape: Dragonwilds in 2027 through quarterly updates, while smaller monthly updates will add side quests, weapons, decorations and quality-of-life improvements.
Mod support planned through CurseForge
Official modding is planned for RuneScape: Dragonwilds in 2027 through a partnership with CurseForge. The setup includes creation tools and an in-game mod browser and installer across all platforms, including consoles.
Before the saga begins, the Luminance update arrives in December 2026 as a prelude to the Blood Crystal Saga, adding elves, elven-themed customization and the Prayer skill.
