#SaveMassEffect Petition Tops 121,000 Signatures

The Change.org campaign, launched after EA said it would close BioWare and cancel Mass Effect 5, drew more than 29,000 signatures in a single day.

A Change.org petition calling on Electronic Arts to revive Mass Effect 5 has passed 121,000 signatures, according to Game Rant. The campaign, tagged #SaveMassEffect, was created on October 21, 2026, and had crossed that mark by 11:00 a.m. ET on October 24, 2026.

The petition asks EA either to resume development of Mass Effect 5 with adequate resources or to license the franchise to another studio. More than 29,000 of the signatures were added on October 22, 2026 alone.

The campaign follows EA's October 21, 2026 announcement that it was closing BioWare and canceling Mass Effect 5 as a result.
