Frogwares has rolled out a free 1.1.0 patch for The Sinking City 2, reworks several encounters, and re-released the Steam demo with save carryover.
Frogwares has released a major free update that brings The Sinking City 2 to version 1.1.0. According to wccftech.com, the patch contains more than 150 fixes and improvements spanning performance, stability, puzzles, visuals, and localization.
The studio redesigned several encounters, including The Wake-Up Call, A Sight for Sore Eyes, Time and Tide, and Cold Comfort. The reworked fights feature reduced enemy counts and lighter waves.
Update 1.1.0 also adds HDR display support, including HDR10+ across all platforms, through Gamma Studios. On PC, upscaling options now include AMD FSR 4.1.1 and NVIDIA DLSS Legacy mode.
On PS5 Pro, the update introduces PSSR support, strand-based hair, and improved Lumen lighting in Quality Mode, plus a higher internal resolution in Performance Mode. The Ex Oblivione post-game mode now persists inventory slots and weapon enhancements across playthroughs and adds Pure New Game.
Two new unlockable outfits for protagonist Calvin Rafferty, The Warlock and The King in Yellow, are included. Frogwares also re-released the Steam demo with save progress carryover to the full game, while trial versions are available on PlayStation 5 for PS Plus subscribers and on Xbox.
The Sinking City 2 launched in August and is now discounted for the first time across PS5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. Wccftech reviewer Chris Wray gave the game an 8.5/10 score.
