The demo supports mouse and keyboard or controller play, and Steam Workshop support and Japanese localization are confirmed.
SNAPTIC LLC released a demo version of its PC puzzle-action game SNAPTIC on Steam, according to gamespark.jp. The demo can be played with either mouse and keyboard or a controller.
The developer has also confirmed Steam Workshop support and Japanese localization for SNAPTIC.
Social media posts announcing the demo drew tens of thousands of likes.
Retro setting and gameplay
SNAPTIC takes place inside a laptop that has been abandoned since 2007 and uses retro visuals that blend aesthetics including that of the original PlayStation. Gameplay includes jumping between platforms and rolling into a ball to cling to walls like a magnet.
Players can open videos and text files within the game and reveal invisible platforms through windows, mimicking operating system operations. The protagonist is a pictogram-style character named Anon.
A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the game has been running since September 30, 2026 and is scheduled to end on October 30, 2026. At the time of writing, it had raised about 40 million yen (about 250,000 dollars), far exceeding its roughly 9.5 million yen (60,000 dollars) goal.
