Sega Details Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year 2 DLC and Price Drop

Sega has revealed further details about the year two downloadable content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, including a new season pass, free racers, and a permanent price reduction for the base game.

The centerpiece is Season Pass Two, priced at $29.99 and containing six DLC packs. Godzilla and Evangelion packs are planned for release between November 2026 and March 2027. Free content in that same window includes Bayonetta, a McLaren Racing collaboration, and Aigis from Persona 3.

Between April and August 2027, Sega plans to release the Virtual Sanrio Puroland and Segaland packs. The Sanrio Puroland pack adds a track and two racers, Hello Kitty and Kuromi. The Segaland pack includes a track inspired by Sega's history and vehicles based on arcade machines such as the Super Megalo, After Burner, and OutRun. Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Persona packs are slated for September through December 2027, and five additional free characters will also debut during the April–December 2027 stretch.

Sega also confirmed a permanent price drop for the game: the standard edition falls to $39.99 and the digital deluxe edition to $59.99. Season Pass Two owners, as well as players who purchased both season passes, will receive a Sega Consoles Pack and Super Shadow as a playable racer as exclusive rewards.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launched in 2025. At Summer Game Fest, Sega had already revealed Godzilla and Evangelion content for the game, and its first year of support added racers and stages based on Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, and other partners. The title was a critical success but missed Sega's internal sales targets.
