The survey follows Sony's announcement earlier this year that it would end production of physical discs in January 2028. SIE said the shift to digital aligns with consumer trends and preferences.
Digital purchases already dominate PlayStation. According to Game File, four-fifths of games bought on PlayStation 4 and 5 in the last financial year were digital.
