soyukke announces Marukaite Dokan!, a drawing tower defense game for 2-8 players on PC
Japanese indie developer soyukke revealed Marukaite Dokan!, a drawing tower defense game for 2 to 8 players, in development for PC via Steam with no release date set.
Japanese indie developer soyukke announced Marukaite Dokan! on October 11, a drawing tower defense game for 2 to 8 players. The game is in development for PC via Steam, with no release date set, according to Automaton Media.
Players draw shapes that become weapons. Circles work as turrets, squares as armor and lines as legs. For defense, circles are turrets, lines are walls and triangles are mines. Larger turret circles have greater range and power, and overlapping drawings strengthen them, while longer wall lines are tougher. Drawing consumes ink.
Other shapes have different effects: spiral drawings make hit enemies reverse direction, long thin triangles become pizza mines, and horizontal rectangles become futons that put enemies to sleep. Clearing waves refills ink and lets players choose one of various upgrade cards. An item that stops time allows players to draw large creations.
A free demo version is available on itch.io and is playable in PC and smartphone web browsers. The announced platforms are Steam and itch.io.
In October 2025, soyukke previously released the capsule machine roguelike game Capsulitas. The trolley problem roguelite game Trolley Problem is Not a Problem, which drew attention on social media, was scheduled for release on October 19, 2025.
