Squadron 42 Gets Steam Page, Wishlisting Opens Ahead of 2027 Launch
Cloud Imperium Games' Squadron 42 can now be wishlisted on Steam, with the studio targeting a second-quarter 2027 release for the Star Citizen single-player campaign.
Squadron 42 now has a Steam store page, and players can add the game to their wishlist ahead of its planned launch in the second quarter of 2027. The page was spotted by PCGamesN.
The Steam listing gives the long-in-development single-player campaign a storefront presence alongside Star Citizen, the persistent-universe title from the same studio, Cloud Imperium Games.
The 2027 window follows a schedule change announced one month ago by studio founder and CEO Chris Roberts, who said Squadron 42 had been pushed back from late 2026 to avoid the launch window of GTA 6.
Funding context
Earlier this year, Star Citizen passed a billion dollars in funding, a milestone reached during the project's continuing crowd-funded development.
