PlayStation Asia post leaks S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 update 2.1

A graphic naming The Zone Lookout appeared on PlayStation Asia's X account saying the update was out now, though it is reportedly due next week.

A graphic promoting an unannounced update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl appeared on PlayStation Asia's X account on October 23, 2026, stating that update 2.1, titled The Zone Lookout, was out now. According to Eurogamer, the update had not actually been released and is said to be due next week.

The post was still live at the time of writing. Developer GSC Game World has not commented on the image.

The graphic lists what the update would include: an increased A-Life NPC visualisation range, adjustments to combat and ballistics, fast travel with squad leaders, and bug fixes and improvements.

Previous update and studio history

Update 2.0 arrived on August 20 alongside the Cost of Hope expansion, adding binoculars, a fog mechanic, A-Life changes and dozens of hours of content.

Earlier in 2026, GSC Game World founder Sergiy Grygorovych claimed Microsoft paid a significant sum to keep the then-upcoming open-world shooter a timed Xbox exclusive.
