Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a new Star Trek game, has been announced for release in 2027, according to screenrant.com. Bloober Team is developing the title and Paramount Games Studio is publishing it.
The game is a single-player sci-fi psychological survival horror. Ro Laren serves as the protagonist, and Michelle Forbes returns to voice and reprise the role.
In the game, Ro Laren is stranded on an uncharted planet that serves as a graveyard for crashed starships. She faces a hostile ecosystem, twisted alien creatures, and an entity capable of attacking her mind.
From The Next Generation to Shadow Frontier
Ro Laren originally appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation and most recently in Star Trek: Picard. In the former, Jean-Luc Picard initially distrusted her before becoming a mentor; she later abandoned Starfleet and joined the Maquis in the episode "Preemptive Strike." In Star Trek: Picard season 3, the two reunited and she helped expose the Changeling infiltration of Starfleet.
