Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown Gets Free Q Trials Mode and Equinox DLC on October 1

Daedalic Entertainment has announced a free new game mode and a paid DLC for Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, both arriving on October 1. The free mode, called Q Trials, introduces randomized events, changing routes and challenges, and more freedom in building up the crew.

Launching alongside the free update is the Equinox DLC, which adds the U.S.S. Equinox as a playable ship for Q Trials. The DLC also brings in Captain Rudolph Ransom, Maxwell Burke, and Noah Lessing as crew members.

The U.S.S. Equinox is a smaller vessel than the U.S.S. Voyager, with less room, fewer crew, and less warp power. That trade-off should give Q Trials runs a different feel from the standard ship.

Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is a story-driven survival strategy game from Daedalic Entertainment, developed by Gamexcite, and it released on February 18, 2026. The Q Trials update and Equinox DLC follow that launch.

ScreenRant reported the announcement. Separately, a Star Trek feature film reboot is in the works with Paramount but has not entered full production.
