Star Wars: Galactic Racer Launches on Xbox Series X|S
Fuse Games' racer caps procedurally generated crash sequences at about 8 seconds and ties crash-outs to league tokens, per news.xbox.com.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer was released on October 8, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, developer Fuse Games said, according to news.xbox.com. The racer asks players to choose between a skim speeder, a speeder bike or a land speeder as their craft type.
Many events in the game allow only a limited number of crashes. Using them all ends the tour and forces a restart, while losing a crash-out or failing a high-risk event costs one league token.
Fuse Games said the crash sequences themselves are procedurally generated, cap at about 8 seconds and differ depending on the craft type involved. Parts, abilities and upgrades are earned as randomized rewards from shops and events.
Studio on making crashes watchable
Creative Director Kieran Crimmins said Fuse Games has long worked on making crashes entertaining. The studio drew a comparison with crash scenes in the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace podrace, which can run about 30 seconds, against the game's roughly 8-second cap.
Co-founder and Head of Content Steve Uphill also appears in the studio's materials on the project. The game is set in part on Sentinel I, one of its planet settings.
