SteelSeries Opens Korea Pre-Orders for Sensei Pro and Rival Pro Mice
Four UWB wireless models, each in black and white, are priced at 279,000 won and sold at 264,000 won during the pre-order period.
SteelSeries announced on October 15 that domestic pre-orders in Korea for its Sensei Pro and Rival Pro series gaming mice have begun. The lineup covers four models: Sensei Pro, Sensei Pro Mini, Rival Pro and Rival Pro Mini, each offered in black and white.
The official price of the four products is 279,000 won, with a pre-order price of 264,000 won. According to gamemeca.com, the announcement was made on October 15.
The new mice use ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless technology, a hot-swappable battery system and a 49g lightweight design. SteelSeries says the dual hot-swappable battery system provides up to 32 hours of use, or 16 hours per battery, and up to 120 hours at 1K, or 60 hours per battery.
Alongside the hardware, SteelSeries introduced a revamped SteelSeries GG software and a SteelSeries GG web app that lets users adjust key settings in a web browser without a separate installation.
Lineage and wireless context
The Sensei and Rival lines were first introduced in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Most previous wireless mice used the 2.4GHz band, which drew criticism for being unable to maintain stable 8K polling rate performance in congested environments.
