RGG Confirms Cheat Items, Assist Options in Stranger Than Heaven
Producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto says wearable cheat items boost health regeneration and are visible on screen to anyone watching.
RGG Studio has confirmed that Stranger Than Heaven will include optional difficulty settings and assist features, including wearable cheat items, to make its combat more approachable. The studio detailed the options to IGN at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026.
Producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto said the game offers difficulty settings alongside support features such as cheat items that increase health regeneration. The cheat items can be obtained from the start of the game and are worn as a cloth or garment, so they remain visible to anyone watching the gameplay screen.
Sakamoto also said assist items are designed to let beginners clear encounters using basic left and right punches alone. The game includes a lengthy tutorial phase in its early stages, while its highest difficulty setting is described as extremely challenging.
Stranger Than Heaven is set for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on January 15, 2027.
