Super Danganronpa 2×2 adds Discussion Collect to Class Trials
The new element asks players to sort chaotic Class Trial statements with Affirm or Deny Kotodama, ahead of a January 14, 2027 launch.
Details of a new Class Trial element called Discussion Collect in Super Danganronpa 2×2 were revealed at the Famitsu 40th Anniversary Festival, held at Bellesalle Akihabara on November 7, 2026, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp.
Discussion Collect appears in scenes where the Class Trial discussion becomes chaotic and unmanageable. Players judge each character's statement in turn and throw either an Affirm or a Deny Kotodama to sort out the discussion. Affirm applies to content that can currently be proven correct, while Deny is used for false content or content that cannot yet be confirmed.
Once every character's statement has been sorted correctly, three options appear to decide what to discuss next. Picking the appropriate option sets the direction of the discussion, producing Seiron and clearing Discussion Collect.
The title includes an Original Mode, which revamps the visuals and presentation of Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and a Kyoki Mode with a new scenario. Kyoki Mode depicts cases set in the same setting with the same characters but different victims, culprits and tricks, and its scenario volume is equal to or greater than that of Original Mode.
Super Danganronpa 2×2 is scheduled for release on January 14, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Series context
The game is described as the latest entry in the Danganronpa series, a high-speed deduction action game in which players expose contradictions during Class Trials.
