Spike Chunsoft lowers Super Danganronpa 2×2 PC requirements
Recommended specs now target the previous minimum, and required storage falls from 40GB to 30GB ahead of the January 14, 2027 launch.
Spike Chunsoft announced on October 22 that it has updated the PC system requirements for Super Danganronpa 2×2, lowering the CPU, GPU and storage demands listed for the game. The news was reported by Automaton.
All tiers now list an Intel Core i5-10500 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processor and 8GB of memory, with the minimum targeting Full HD. For Full HD at recommended settings, the GPU is now the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, which had previously appeared as the minimum requirement.
The recommended 4K GPU is now the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. Required storage has dropped from 40GB to 30GB, or 40GB including bonus content from the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Earlier specs drew comparisons
When the PC requirements were first published, fans noted that the recommended specs — an Intel Core i7-14700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT, and 32GB of RAM — were high for an adventure game, and were comparable to those of Monster Hunter Wilds.
On September 14, producer Shohei Sakakibara said on his X account that the recommended specs assumed 4K high-quality settings and would be updated later.
Super Danganronpa 2×2 is scheduled for release on January 14, 2027 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
