TECOPARK Urges Switch 2 Owners to Hold Off on PICO PARK

The developer says an online-play bug locks PICO PARK on a white screen in WORLD 1-2 on Nintendo Switch 2, and a fix is still being worked out.

TECOPARK asked Nintendo Switch 2 users on October 13 to refrain from buying the Nintendo Switch version of PICO PARK for the time being, according to automaton-media.com. The developer says a bug on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware causes online play in PICO PARK to become stuck on a white screen in WORLD 1-2, leaving the game unplayable in that situation.

TECOPARK said it has not released any update that changes PICO PARK's game content. It initially suspected users' network environments, but the large number of reports led it to conclude the cause lay elsewhere.

The root cause remains unclear. The developer said it is investigating and working on a fix, including the possibility that a Nintendo Switch 2 system update is involved.

TECOPARK has asked Nintendo whether distribution of PICO PARK on the Nintendo eShop can be temporarily suspended, and at the time of writing the game is still purchasable. The developer added that PICO PARK 2 does not have this problem.
