The One Ring Roleplaying Game's crowdfunding campaign on Backerit has surpassed its funding target by 32 times and is approaching $3 million in pledges, setting a new record for developer Free League, according to gamesradar.com.
The campaign smashed its goal in less than a day. Lead designer Francesco Nepitello said the team promises many adventures ahead and had to think on their feet about new stretch goals.
The project revamps the current rules while adding a bestiary titled Creatures Strange and Foul, which covers foes including the Black Númenóreans, and a new campaign setting called The White Tower and the Hall of Gold, set in Gondor and Rohan.

The One Ring system launched in 2022, along with its D&D equivalent, The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying. Long ago, the plan was to do three editions of the game: one set in Wilderland, one in Eriador, and one in Gondor.
