NCSoft sets Time Takers global playtest for November 13-16
The Steam test reworks combat balance, character traits and matchmaking, as Korean studios line up repeated playtests of unreleased PC games.
NCSoft will run another global playtest of its PC time-survival shooter Time Takers on Steam from November 13 to 16, the company announced. The publisher said the build adjusts combat balance and per-character traits based on feedback from the previous test.
The November test also targets movement feel, combat feedback and visibility, and reworks the matching system so it accounts for player skill and party composition, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.
Time Takers held a closed beta test in March, then ran a global playtest on Steam in September. NCSoft said the September test showed overall increases in play time and repeat-play metrics compared with the March CBT.
Other PC tests running alongside
Phase 8 Studio's co-op SF horror game Code Exit, which Line Games will service, began its Steam playtest on the 28th of last month and runs until the 19th. The test merged the previously three-stage session into one and reworked the complex mission structure. Phase 8 Studio revealed a demo in May and analyzed Steam reviews, official Discord and offline test feedback.
Project Zeta, published by Krafton and in development at Nirvana, moved from five teams of three to four teams and had its map redesigned. A second global community test ran on Steam last month; the first was held in June, and data and feedback from it and from Gamescom were applied to the second build.
Valve's Steam Next Fest runs from 2:00 AM on the 20th to 2:00 AM on the 27th, Korea time. X-Legend Games will show a free demo of its open-world action MMORPG Aion Chronicles there, adding a new dungeon and a first-look PvP mode.
