Dan Vecchitto, co-owner of Holy Wow Games, released 'UFO 50,000,' a two-hour mashup mixtape pairing hip-hop with music from all 50 UFO 50 games.
Dan Vecchitto, co-owner of Trombone Champ studio Holy Wow Games, has released a two-hour mashup mixtape called 'UFO 50,000.' The album mixes hip-hop songs with music from all 50 games in UFO 50 and is available to stream on YouTube.
Vecchitto began mashing up tracks from Eirik Suhrke's UFO 50 soundtrack after receiving an invitation to guest on the Eggplant (now The Secret Lives of Games) podcast. His first effort paired Onion Delivery with Dorrough's 'Ice Cream Paint Job.'
One year later, Vecchitto had expanded the project to 20 mashups. Around a year after that, he reached roughly 35 remixed tracks before completing all 50.
The mixtape arrives as a fan-made tribute to UFO 50, the 50-game collection released by Mossmouth.
