Under Canopies launches in Steam early access
The combat-free slow-life survival sim lets players build a cabin, farm, keep bees and photograph wildlife; full release planned for 2027.
Under Canopies launched in early access on Steam on 23 October 2026, according to 4gamer.net. The first-person survival simulation game is built around gathering and crafting rather than conflict.
Players collect materials in a forest and use them to build a log cabin, then craft furniture and decorations. Farming, cooking with more than 30 recipes, raising chickens and sheep, and keeping bees are also part of the loop.
Wildlife plays a central role. Players can observe and photograph animals to fill a wildlife album, and build trust with them by feeding them.
Survival elements such as hunger, thirst and condition management are present, but the game contains no combat or horror content.
The early access version reworked the tutorial, user interface and inventory based on feedback from players at Steam Next Fest, where an earlier build was playable. A full release is planned for 2027.
