DIY gamepad Undercooked V0.4 builds for about €10 in six hours
The RP2040-Zero-based pad uses a protoboard instead of a PCB and a 3D-printed shell, according to PC Gamer.
A creator known as Lazy_Duck has published a DIY gamepad project called Undercooked V0.4 that can be built in roughly six hours for about €10 (around $11.22), according to PC Gamer.
The controller carries a single analogue stick, X and A inputs, a menu button, and a B button placed on the right shoulder. Rather than a full PCB, the build uses a protoboard with an RP2040-Zero microcontroller.
The shell is 3D printed from 150 g of filament and assembled with heat-set threaded inserts.
For players who would rather buy than build, PC Gamer's current pick for the best budget PC controller is the GameSir Nova Lite, which costs comfortably under $30 on a good day.
