Unharvest Demo Launches on Steam Ahead of December 8 Release

Players can try the inverse farming game from SkorpionDev, in which a plague withers plants, before its full launch.

A demo for the PC game Unharvest is now available on Steam, developer SkorpionDev has announced ahead of the game's full release on December 8. The news was reported by news.denfaminicogamer.jp.

Unharvest is an inverse farming incremental game: instead of growing crops, the player spreads a plague that kills plants and withers the world. Infection passes by touch, and the player devastates the land until nothing living remains.

The settings include wheat fields and various other areas. As the plants wither, both the scenery and the sound around the player change, and the plague can be upgraded to increase its spread speed and range.

A trailer shows plants withering around the player simply by walking. Despite the ominous premise, the game uses calm, gentle music and tells a mysterious story through the environment.
