Renegade's Unstoppable deck-builder gets wider retail release

Renegade Game Studios is bringing Unstoppable, its deck-building game based on Dungeon Crawler Carl, to wider retail in late November 2026, with preorders open at about $60. The two planned expansions, Iron Tangle and Crawler Chaos, are set to release in November at $25 each.

Unstoppable covers the first three floors of the story and supports solo play or two-player co-op, with players taking on the roles of Carl or Princess Donut. The game uses a system designed by John D. Clair. Crawler Chaos adds playable characters Katia, Imani and Prepotente.

Alongside Unstoppable, the official Dungeon Crawler Carl tabletop RPG also arrives. Its Starter Set is priced at $55 and covers the first two floors, while the $65 Core Rulebook covers floors three through five. A Deluxe Edition of the first Dungeon Crawler Carl book is also due in November, featuring an original Q&A between Princess Donut and author Matt Dinniman. Screen Rant reported the release details.

Crowdfunding fulfillment was scheduled to begin in October, ahead of the wider retail rollout.

BackerKit campaign set a record

In May 2026, the joint BackerKit campaign for Unstoppable and the official Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG ended after raising more than $13.29 million from 55,972 supporters, becoming BackerKit's most-funded game ever. The original Dungeon Crawler Carl novel was published on September 21, 2020, by Penguin Random House and runs 444 pages. A ninth book, working title The Beautiful Place, is planned as a two-volume release taking readers to the twelfth floor.
