Valorant Champions Shanghai: Wired Mice Mandated After Interference
Valorant Esports tells players to use wired mice at Champions Shanghai after wireless interference caused tech pauses; FUT Esports lost 2-0 to 100 Thieves.
Valorant Esports has instructed all players at the Valorant Champions tournament in Shanghai to switch to wired mice until repeated wireless interference issues are resolved. The announcement follows multiple tech pauses during the event.
In a match between FUT Esports and 100 Thieves, FUT player xeus experienced a mouse issue that prevented firing. FUT went on to lose the series 2-0.
Riot Games said a round rollback should have been allowed and took responsibility for the error, but decided the match result would stand. The developer also built custom metal desks for the tournament and believes the material may have caused the interference.
The wired-mouse requirement remains in effect while the problem is addressed. pcgamer.com reported the directive.
