Bulkhead Pulls Wardogs Blue Team Bonuses One Day After Launch
Bulkhead Interactive is removing the Blue team's 5% Lonestar cash and 2.5% XP bonuses in Wardogs Season 2 after Blue became the dominant team.
Bulkhead Interactive is removing the Blue team's Lonestar cash and XP bonuses from Wardogs Season 2, one day after the bonuses went live, according to pcgamer.com.
Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer said the studio was wrong and messed up with the Blue team bonus plan. He said Blue is now winning by far the most, even though the boosts amounted to only 5% Lonestar cash and 2.5% XP.
The studio found that top tier players gained significantly from the percentage bonuses while median players did not. Bulkhead co-founder Howard Philpott said the bonus was also affecting people joining games and starting games.
Exploit bans and other fixes
Bulkhead is also fixing driver progression issues and a driver exploit that lets players access tanks too quickly. Players clearly taking advantage of the exploit — fewer than 1,000 in total according to Brammer — will receive a 24-hour ban and have their cash and XP wiped.
Other rebalancing changes, including new spawns on the Bakurani map, have proven effective and will remain in place.
