Wardogs Season 2 Gives Lonestar Team Bonus Cash and XP

Bulkhead announced Wardogs Season 2, adding targeted bonuses for the Lonestar (blue) team plus new team-switching restrictions and map changes.

Bulkhead has announced Wardogs Season 2, an update that introduces targeted bonuses for players joining the Lonestar (blue) team in an effort to address the faction's lower win rate, according to GamesRadar.

Under the new system, playing as Lonestar grants bonus cash and XP on wins, along with teamplay action cash and XP multipliers. Lonestar uniforms have also been made more desaturated so they stand out less compared to other factions.

The update brings new team-switching restrictions: once a team is more than 10 points ahead, players cannot switch teams for 15 minutes after joining one. Players who switch teams or join a match in progress will have their map obscured and cannot use the spawn vehicle until they reach the control zone for the first time.

On the Bakurani map, all faction spawns have moved. Players at least 40 points behind second place gain access to a new 20% vendor discount, applicable to all teams.

Bulkhead stated that community server hosts seen exploiting the Lonestar faction bonus will be punished.

Background

Bulkhead had previously acknowledged that one team in Wardogs had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two teams, and noted valid complaints around Lonestar's uniform visibility and certain spawn positions. The studio described the changes as a 'social experiment' in game balance.
