Bulkhead: Xbox Series S Limits Wardogs Dynamic Weather

Bulkhead says the Xbox Series S holds back dynamic weather in Wardogs, as a persistent rain feature arrives this month and consoles get the game in 2028.

Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer said during a Wardogs Season 2 press conference that the Xbox Series S limits the team's work, which is why the game does not currently feature dynamic weather, according to IGN.

The studio said Wardogs is adding a persistent rain feature this month that lasts throughout a match. Dynamic weather remains absent.

Co-founder Howard Philpott said the Xbox Series S acts as a baseline performance target that helped Bulkhead optimize Wardogs for lower-spec PCs.

Senior producer Kane Allard said demand for controller support before the game's early access launch pushed Bulkhead to be more forward thinking about building systems with consoles and controllers in mind.

Wardogs is not coming to console until 2028. The Xbox Series S launched alongside the Xbox Series X in November 2020. Earlier this year, Moon Studio founder Thomas Mahler said No Rest for the Wicked's Xbox release was delayed due to troubles with the Xbox Series S.
