Wizards Confirms Small Reprint of Warhammer 40K Commander Decks

Wizards of the Coast says a small reprint of the Warhammer 40K Commander Decks is on the way to distributors and stores.

Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that the Warhammer 40K Commander Decks for Magic: The Gathering will receive a small reprint, according to Polygon. The new copies will be available to distributors and stores soon.

The four decks were released in 2022 as the first preconstructed products in the Universes Beyond line, originally priced at $59.99 each.

Since then, sealed copies have climbed sharply on the secondary market, with each deck now selling for hundreds of dollars. Bundles containing unopened versions of all four decks have sold for a median price of roughly $1,000 on TCGPlayer over the last few months.

The set includes Forces of the Imperium, an Esper deck built around Imperial Inquisitors and the Investigate mechanic; Necron Dynasties, a mono-black artifact-creature deck that is typically the most expensive of the four on the secondary market; Tyranid Swarm, a Temur deck that aims to go wide; and The Ruinous Powers, a Grixis deck based on the Forces of Chaos, led by Commander Abaddon the Despoiler and featuring a Cascade ability.

Each deck contains 100 cards, 42 of which were created specifically for the release. The decks were well-received at launch, though the Universes Beyond brand has been divisive among players.
